Abergavenny: Enhancing green infrastructure management with sensors & data

April 2023

Abergavenny is a traditional market town with an established vibrant visitor economy, vibrant town centre, and a reputation for hosting successful town-wide events, including the renowned Abergavenny Food Festival.

Abergavenny Town Council, working with Monmouthshire County Council and local organisations are actively exploring opportunities to become a Smart Town. With a Digital Place Plan in place, there are a range of ongoing initiatives and cross-stakeholder collaboration. There is the potential for utilising digital, technology and data for the social, economic and environmental benefit of the town.
